A 22-year-old Fort Bragg man has been charged with possession of child pornography. He turned himself in over the weekend after an investigation by a state agency. The Sacramento Valley Hi-Tech Crimes Task Force had been looking into a computer found at the home of lieutenant J.D. Comer. The agency charged Comer with child pornography.

James says MCSO officials tried to cover up the allegations and had contacted the FBI. But Sheriff Kendall says he has not heard from the FBI, and if they get involved, Comer would face charges in federal court.

Negie Fallis

Negie Fallis was arrested on a felony arrest warrant in Covelo, California on Feb. 19, 2018. She was wanted for a child abduction and subsequent robbery. A warrant was issued on her behalf on 02-14-2018. The Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office was notified and responded to the scene. When the police arrived, they found Fallis outside her residence and arrested her without incident.

Fallis pleaded no contest to felony charges and was sentenced to four years in state prison. She was released after fifteen months and was scheduled to appear in court in February 2020. In the meantime, she was on Post Release Community Supervision. She served sixty days in jail before her release.
