Who Is Kelly Rowland?
Kelly Rowland is a talented singer and song writer who is well known for her hits such as “Dilemma” and “Son and More.” She has collaborated with some of the biggest names in music such as Beyonce and Justin Timberlake. In this article, we’ll take a look at her career, friendship with Beyonce, and musical collaborations.
Career in music
A singer and actress, Kelly Rowland’s career has encompassed a number of styles and genres. She has achieved success with songs ranging from R&B to pop to hip hop. Her discography includes 19 awards and 40 million records sold worldwide.
After becoming a member of the renowned girl group Destiny’s Child, Rowland earned five international awards for her debut solo album. This was a departure from the more R&B-oriented sound of the group’s self-titled release. The album peaked at number four on the Billboard 200 and reached moderate success in the US.
Rowland was the first member of Destiny’s Child to reach the top of the Billboard Hot 100 with “Dilemma,” which spent two months at the top. She was also nominated for eight Grammy Awards, including Best Female Pop Vocal Performance.
Rowland had an extensive acting career as well, appearing in films such as Bad Hair and Freddy vs. Jason. Later, she appeared on several TV shows. One of her more notable roles was in the fourth season of the U.P.N. sitcom The Hughleys, in which she played Carly.
Friendship with Beyonce
It would be no surprise if Beyonce Knowles was a friend of Gwyneth Paltrow. The duo have been friends for nearly a decade and have bonded over their love for parenting and music. In the meantime, the two have also been working on projects together, such as the Lion King remake and the upcoming Star Search.
While Beyonce and Gwyneth haven’t spent much time together in recent years, their friendship is still in full swing. They have each been featured in each other’s music videos, and they both have children.
Beyonce and Gwyneth are not necessarily best friends, but they have a strong enough bond to warrant a mention in each other’s bios. As a matter of fact, Gwyneth has said that she and Beyonce have the same taste in music, and they frequently bump into each other on the street.
In fact, Gwyneth and Beyonce have a history, and it goes back to 2007. They met at a benefit in New York City in 2007 and subsequently became close.
Musical collaborations
Kelly Rowland’s musical collaborations are a huge part of her career. She has collaborated with some of the biggest names in pop. Her song, “Dilemma,” was a worldwide hit in 2002. The song went to #1 on the US and UK singles charts.
In 2009, Kelly Rowland was featured on a song by David Guetta. The song, “When Love Takes Over,” was a huge success for both the artist and Rowland. It was also her first number one song in the U.S. and was certified gold in Canada, New Zealand, and Australia.
After releasing her first two albums, Rowland branched out into acting. She starred in the comedy film Bad Hair, and a role in the fourth season of the U.P.N. sitcom The Hughleys.

Kelly Rowland became a member of the band Destiny’s Child in the late 1990s. They were a huge vocal group and they were known for their chart-topping songs. Although their group broke up in 2003, Kelly Rowland has continued to perform with other artists. One of her most notable musical collaborations is with Nelly.
Music video for “Dilemma”
The music video for Kelly Rowland’s hit song “Dilemma” has reached a billion views on YouTube. It also received a Grammy award for Best Rap/Sung Performance. But, some fans have taken a bit of a jab at the singer for trying to text her man using an Excel spreadsheet. Here’s a look at the clip.
The “Dilemma” video was directed by Ryan Bowser. The rapper and singer collaborated on the song back in 2002. It went to number one on various Billboard charts and won the Grammy for Best Rap/Sung Performance. The pair then released a new music video for the song in 2012.
After the success of the music video, fans were eager to find out more about Rowland’s message. Despite her lack of previous experience using an Excel spreadsheet, she appeared to be able to type her text on the device. She did so while the screen was on, but no-one spotted the obvious mistake. Eventually, the official Excel account responded to Rowland’s tweet.
